Paul’s photos are not reworked in any way. The fascination of the images is the way Paul has been working with different elements, which have been dissolved in a chemical process and then put between two glass plates. Those glass plates were then again surrounded by two polarized lenses and then photographed. If the polarized lenses would be twisted a little bit, the same piece of element would then create a completely new images. The elements which Paul uses can be everything from a piece of paper, piece of plastic, piece of tinfoil, you name it. So, you might say this is our world split into pieces.
