Johan Nilsson

Johan’s work is based on his own photos, taken in his home country Sweden and abroad on his travels around Europe. Once Johan finds a base photo, he starts searching for bits and pieces in his great portfolio of photos, to be able to make a simulated double/multi exposure of add-on’s. When he finally has found the pictures needed, he starts to work them into the base photo, trying to create a new reality. Once the image is finished Johan start working with filters, color, shades etc. until he is satisfied with the image and then print it on canvas. Mostly he finally overdraws with Resin that enhance the colors and gives the picture a shiny surface.
